About Chouette
Fashionable mother-daughter duo, Araxie and Cosette Giles, teamed up in March 2007 to create an exquisitely unique line of handbags and call their budding company "Chouette by Cosette". Araxie, with decades of experience in sewing and an education in Fashion Design acquired from LA Trade Tech, and Cosette with a degree in Fashion Design acquired from Woodbury University, have put their hearts and souls in their research, craft, technicality, and design. A year after their handmade handbag venture, the realization of a new baby boom hit them. With the lack of stylish diaper bags being sold, they put a lot of focus and emphasis on creating a diaper bag thats chic yet practical.
Their list of products expanded with the additions of bold handmade necklaces, vintage clutches with gorgeous embellishments, and most recently, a line of handmade organic shopping totes for men and women.
Araxie and Cosette enjoy the design and manufacturing process of all their wonderful handcrafted products. The only thing manufactured outside their own home, but still in CA, are the 7 non-exclusive diaper bags that have been made with pre-laminated fabric for dirt and water resistance.
